SPUR enters the production of flexible packaging through the company PRINTINA Flexibles

The company SPUR a.s. expands its portfolio with activities related to the production of food packaging by taking over a fifty percent business share of the company Printina Flexibles s.r.o. The other half of the company is owned by tkf group a.s. (Pebal). Just these days, Printina, with its new co-owner, started the production of flexible packaging.

The newly established company Printina Flexibles s.r.o. will focus on the production of printed multi-layer flexible packaging based on paper or plastics and shrink films, which are intended for the most demanding multinational food companies.

„Joining Printina Flexibles allows us not only to diversify our product portfolio, but also to offer our customers printed flexible packaging of the highest quality. Our goal is to provide the best service and print quality for small and medium-sized orders, not only for multinationals, but also for local companies throughout the EU,“ said Tomas Dudak, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SPUR a.s.

The production of printed packaging and shrink films was started with a team of professional workers who have the most modern printing, cutting and laminating machines at their disposal. „All necessary operational certifications for the printing and processing of food packaging have already been carried out, which guarantees that all products meet the strictest quality and safety standards,“ Tomas Dudak added, adding: „Connection with the company tkf group (Pebal), an important manufacturer of flexible packaging in in Central Europe with production plants in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, will enable the Printina company to use its rich experience in the field of packaging production and sales, as well as to utilize our knowledge in the field of developing new ecologically sustainable recipes and their recycling,“ explained Dudak.

The company Printina flexibles s.r.o. prints flexible packaging for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries for the largest food and beverage manufacturers in Europe at its production plant in Hloubětín. It has the most modern machinery for short and medium printing series and is completely self-sufficient in the production of printing tools. Annual production capacity reaches up to 40 million m² of packaging while achieving the highest ISO, BRC, DPG, FSC standards. Currently, 65 employees work here.

The company SPUR a.s. based in Zlín is a traditional family company with a rich history that has been producing plastic products for more than 30 years. It is successfully developing its diversified product and segment portfolio.
