SPUR a.s. announces another successful acquisition

On July 17, 2023, SPUR a.s. became the sole owner of EPOLI (Czechia), s.r.o., thus strategically expanding its manufacturing facilities, technological park, as well as distribution and logistics capabilities.

The owners of SPUR a.s. and the Portuguese Epoli – Espumas de Polietileno, S.A. agreed on the purchase.

We would like to inform our employees, customers, suppliers, and partners about the successful acquisition of a 100% stake in EPOLI (Czechia), s.r.o., a company based in the Central Bohemian Region.

SPUR Joint Stock Company is a family-owned company with a thirty-year tradition in plastics processing. It engages in the production of plastic sheets, pipes, profiles, as well as packaging and insulation materials made of expanded polyethylene (EPE) and polypropylene (XPP). The SPUR Group also includes AVÍZO s.r.o., which manufactures bubble wrap in Zliv near České Budějovice.

The acquisition of EPOLI (Czechia), s.r.o., a manufacturer of expanded polyethylene (EPE), will complement the group’s current portfolio in the production of lightweight materials.

Change in ownership structure and management of EPOLI.

In connection with the change in ownership, there will be a change in the position of the CEO, who is now Mr. Vladimír Bican. Mr. Marek Vácha will continue to be responsible for customer relations as the company’s sales manager. The company directors are Tomáš Dudák and Jan Mikulka.

Great relationships remain, capacities and possibilities change.

We want to assure you that the change in company ownership has no impact on current business relationships. We will continue our existing activities and further develop our successful cooperation. Our goal is to increase capacity, utilize the strategic locations of our three production plants spread across the Czech Republic, produce fully recyclable products, and, above all, provide high-quality foam products and professional services to both existing and new customers.
